It
has been a lifelong dream for Sharon to live in the Texas Hill
Country, in Fredericksburg, and to become
a part of the art community. For years, it was her goal to
inspire others and start them on their journey for a bright future.
She challenged children as their art teacher to see the world around
them with greater beauty and greater understanding.
After moving to
Fredericksburg three years ago, Sharon’s style and process of
Artmaking took an exciting new path. Her medium became
Acrylic, and her style moved from Realism to Abstract and
Impressionistic Landscapes. Sharon says her paintings are
always and foremost about Color. Her intention is to connect
with the viewer through Color, and sometimes through Symbolism.
Her landscapes almost always focus on water, reflections, and the
branches of trees.
Her process: She
begins with a particular color palette, but stays open to where the
paint might lead her. Painting to music moves her out of the
thinking zone and into the feeling zone. Decisions regarding
Unity and Harmony are made along the way, but, it pleases her most
to follow “The Path of her Heart”.
