Theresa
Jones was born in Alabama but moved to Texas as soon as she could.
First Houston, then Austin, Theresa eventually ended up in Driftwood
with her husband, three horses, two tabby cats, a crazy blue heeler
and some cows.
Theresa Jones began working with clay
in 1987. Shortly after that she met her husband in clay class. She’s
the type of person who needs a lot of irons in the fire - Theresa
currently teaches college mathematics, writes screenplays and
short-stories, plays with clay and grows all kinds of plants, big
and small.
While Theresa considers herself
fortunate to live in the beautiful Texas hill country, her soul
thrives in Big Bend country. After a trip to Big Bend a few years
ago Theresa felt the overwhelming need to paint what she had seen.
Owning no paints, Theresa created her own with clay. She is not
aware of anyone else painting with clay in the same way she does.
Theresa hopes that you enjoy this
unique piece of her pottery as much as she enjoyed making it.
