Herbert Long studied art at the University of Kansas, and at the Alfred
C. Glassell School of Art in Houston, Texas. Mr. Long started painting
in his teens and has studied the figure and portraiture since college.
He started sculpting in 1986 while attending the Glassell School of Art.
He has received numerous commissions, and critical acclaim. His artwork
has been exhibited internationally. His paintings and sculpture are
included in private, public and corporate collections around the United
States. Mr. Long is a former president of the Texas Society of
Sculptors, and is an instructor at the Elisabet Ney Sculpture
Conservatory in Austin, Texas. |
